Meet Claire

A calm, supportive space to be yourself

I'm Claire, an integrative counsellor supporting adolescents, young adults and parents through some of life's more difficult moments.

I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, understood and accepted without fear of judgement.

My approach is warm, compassionate and collaborative. I don't believe there is a "one size fits all" approach to counselling, so we'll work together to find what feels right for you.

What you can expect from me…

No judgement

A space where you can talk openly and be yourself, without worrying about being judged.

At your pace

We'll work at a pace that feels manageable for you. There's no pressure to talk about anything before you're ready.

Working together

I'll listen carefully and work collaboratively with you to understand what's going on and explore what might help.

My experience

  • BACP Registered Counsellor

  • Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Young People (CPCAB)

  • Level 4 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB)

  • PGCert in Brief Evidence-Based Interventions for Children and Young People with Common Mental Health Problems (University of Reading)

My professional training and experience have given me a broad understanding of the challenges that can affect young people, adults and families.

Alongside my counselling work, I have experience as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner, supporting children and young people with difficulties such as anxiety and low mood.

This experience has shaped my belief that people don't need to be "fixed". They need to feel understood, supported and given the space to find their own way forward.

I bring this perspective into my counselling work, combining professional knowledge with warmth, curiosity and a genuine interest in the person sitting in front of me.

A safe and confidential space

I understand that talking about personal difficulties can feel daunting, particularly when you're meeting a counsellor for the first time.

I offer a confidential, respectful space (in my dedicated counselling room at Moss End Garden Village, Warfield) where you can talk openly and at your own pace. Before we begin counselling, I'll explain how confidentiality works, including the limits around safeguarding, so you know what to expect.

We'll talk about this together and you'll always have the opportunity to ask questions.

Could counselling help?

You don't have to have everything figured out before you get in touch. If you're wondering whether counselling might be right for you, I'm happy to have a conversation and answer any questions you may have.
