I'm Claire, a counsellor offering adaptable therapy for young people and adults navigating life's more difficult moments.

I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, understood and accepted without fear of judgement.

My approach is warm, compassionate and collaborative. I don't believe there is a "one size fits all" approach to counselling, so we'll work together to find what feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

My approach is grounded in person-centred counselling, which means I work at your pace and place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work.

I can also offer practical CBT techniques to help with anxiety, low mood and unhelpful thinking patterns, where appropriate - I will be guided by you.

I am a BACP Registered Counsellor and qualified with a Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Young People

My professional training and experience have given me a broad understanding of the challenges that can affect young people, adults and parents.

Alongside my counselling work, I have experience as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner, supporting children and young people with difficulties such as anxiety and depression.

This experience has shaped my belief that people don't need to be "fixed". They need to feel understood, supported and given the space to find their own way forward.

I bring this perspective into my counselling work, combining professional knowledge with warmth, curiosity and a genuine interest in the person sitting in front of me.

A safe and confidential space to talk

I understand that talking about personal difficulties can feel daunting, particularly when you're meeting a counsellor for the first time.

I offer a confidential, respectful space (in my dedicated counselling room at Moss End Garden Village, Warfield) where you can talk openly and at your own pace. Before we begin counselling, I'll explain how confidentiality works, including the limits around safeguarding, so you know what to expect.

We'll talk about this together and you'll always have the opportunity to ask questions.

Could counselling help?

You don't have to have everything figured out before you get in touch. If you're wondering whether counselling might be right for you, I'm happy to have a conversation and answer any questions you may have.
